Customized production: extra-high ALPEN for Portugal
We have impressively demonstrated our expertise in the bespoke manufacture of aluminium energy columns for a Portuguese client.
The ELSPRO ALPEN series of aluminium power columns – modular which is available as standard in heights of 757 mm and 1040 mm – was manufactured to order at an exceptional height of 6 metres. These bespoke power columns were developed specifically for use in an industrial hall in Portugal.
The reason for the exceptional height was that the customer wanted to supply power to the power columns directly from the hall ceiling. This solution meant that cable routing along the floor was not required. This reduces potential trip hazards, ensures a tidy working environment and enables a safe and professional power supply from the ceiling to the floor.
Working closely with the customer, our specialists in Hilden planned and carried out the entire bespoke project. From assembly and wiring right through to final testing, the aluminium power columns were manufactured entirely at our site. Following successful delivery to Portugal, the power columns are now providing a reliable power supply in the hall.
Modular energy columns for maximum flexibility
A particular advantage of the ELSPRO ALPEN series of aluminium power columns – modular is their future-proof design. Thanks to their modular construction, front panels can be replaced or expanded at any time. This allows the power columns to be flexibly adapted to changing requirements, new applications or additional connections.
Just how valuable this modularity is in practice was already demonstrated in this project. As this was a new-build project, it was only realised during on-site installation that additional IT connections were required. Thanks to the modular system, an existing blank panel could be easily replaced with a front panel featuring three additional IT sockets. No major modifications or replacement of the entire power column were necessary.
