ELSPRO FINLED at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
ELSPRO FINLED ensures safety and efficiency – including integrated bird repellent
Another successful project from ELSPRO impressively demonstrates how technical expertise and individual customer solutions go hand in hand:
Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has comprehensively modernized its fence lighting with a total of 450 FINLED street lights with DALI control, each with 40 watts of power and an integrated bird repellent.
Challenge: Light for safety – without compromise
Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) had clear requirements for the project: the new lighting not only had to provide reliable and energy-efficient illumination of the security fence, but also meet special environmental aspects.
A key criterion was the so-called “bird deterrent” – a permanent solution to prevent birds from settling on the luminaires.
Other manufacturers often rely on glued-on defense elements. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), however, wanted a fixed, stable and visually integrated solution. This is precisely where the ELSPRO FINLED design, in which the bird deterrent is mounted directly on the luminaire, was convincing. This ensures high durability, less maintenance and a clean look.

Result: energy-efficient, functional and low-maintenance
The airport operators benefit in several ways with the new installation: the FINLED luminaires use modern LED technology to ensure maximum energy efficiency and uniform illumination of the security areas. They are also low-maintenance, robust against the effects of weather and meet all of the airport’s safety requirements. A large proportion of the 450 FINLED luminaires have already been installed – the positive feedback from the customer speaks for itself.
The project at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is an example of how ELSPRO responds to individual customer requirements and implements technically sophisticated solutions. The combination of modern LED lighting and innovative bird repellent creates a product that is not only efficient and durable, but also contributes to the sustainable operation of one of Germany’s most important traffic hubs.
